Cuckoo Forevermore
Evanston Publishing, 1996, ISBN: 1-879260-37-9
A biting satire that plucks the feathers off psychotherapy.
“It's about time an insider blew the whistle on an industry that has its own special scams, frauds, and rogues.” -- Asa Baber, Men columnist, Playboy Magazine
Dr. Peter Pinowski, 28, finally completes his dissertation on rats in a water-filled maze. He lands his first job at a children’s psychiatric department in Sydney and must now either sink or swim in the labyrinth of psychotherapy. Still living with his neurotic Polish parents, he soon finds the paranoids, delusionals, and perverts drive him to extreme anxiety – and that’s just his co-workers!
Funny, sexy, and outrageous, Cuckoo Forevermore draws you into a mad, mad world. You may find the scenes shocking and even infuriating, but one thing can be guaranteed – the way you look at therapy and therapists will never be the same!

Kookaburra’s Last Laugh
Due out in 2010
The neurotic psychologist, Peter Pinowski, 35, is lonely, jobless and clueless. When he attends a seminar, Find Your Way Home, in the Blue Mountains Down Under, he gets hopelessly lost. Injured in the Australian bush, he hears the eerie laughter of the kookaburra which, according to Aboriginal tradition, wakes humans from their dreams.
Thus begins Peter’s transpersonal journey. It takes place during the Sydney Olympics, reflecting the hero’s quest. Peter finds a job at a dysfunctional counseling program and clashes with menacing clients, a tyrannical boss, and an alcoholic father. His greatest challenge, however, is a demanding Aboriginal woman, emotionally adrift in Sydney. A series of crises brings them together to confront their inner demons, wake up and find the way home.
